C-Tech produces a range of parallel or
tapered tubing manufactured from pre-preg carbon fiber, glass fiber
or carbon/glass mix.
Manufacturing Process
C-Tech uses a mandrel-wrapped system for its tube production. Laminates
are laid up on male mandrels. The mandrel is then shrink-wrapped before
the laminate is heat cured. This produces a glossy black spiral-wound
finish. Other finishes can also be provided (see Services page).
Types of Carbon and Glass Fibre
C-Tech's standard carbon tube products are made from T700 standard modulus prepreg (see Materials page for full fiber details).
On special request we can manufacture tube in intermediate modulus carbon fiber or high modulus carbon fiber. Other fiber options are also available (see Services page). To request a price for alternative fiber options, complete the form on the Custom Tube page.
Custom Laminates
Laminates can be varied to increase hoop strength or longitudinal strength. Custom reinforcement for attachments can be built into the laminate. Tapered laminates are also available (please complete the form on the Custom Tube page to help us assist you with your request).
Pricing
Price will depend on laminate thickness and carbon fiber modulus or fiber type required. Price calculators are provided on some pages. If price information is not available please enquire about a tube to suit your specifications.
